BOSS®Space: Unified Multi-Cluster Management Platform
As sales of the Bihai Distributed Storage System continue to rise, an increasing number of enterprises are deploying multiple BOSS clusters. However, managing these dispersed clusters introduces significant operational complexity, requiring substantial manpower and resources to maintain stability. To address this challenge, Xiaoyun Information Technology has developed BOSS®Space, a unified multi-cluster management platform designed to provide enterprises with a comprehensive and efficient solution for managing multiple BOSS clusters.
BOSS®Space not only retains all the management capabilities of the existing BOSS Web interface but also introduces multi-cluster overview and administration features, including a one-click cluster-switching menu. By consolidating fragmented cluster management tasks, BOSS®Space offers a one-stop solution that dramatically improves operational efficiency and simplifies management workflows.
Key Features
Multi-Cluster Overview Dashboard
Visual Layout: Clusters are horizontally arranged to mimic the physical layout of servers in a rack, providing an intuitive navigation experience.
Real-Time Monitoring: Track storage utilization, IOPS, throughput, latency, and data reconstruction rates across all managed clusters.
Resource Statistics: View real-time health status and utilization metrics for files, nodes, and disks.
Alert Management: Receive and address unread critical alerts and warnings to ensure system stability and performance.
Multi-Cluster Administration
Cluster Operations: Add, edit, connect, delete, or reorder BOSS clusters seamlessly.
Template-Driven Batch Management: Streamline node/storage pool configuration and disk provisioning using predefined templates for efficient operations.
Unified Resource Management
Storage Type Support: Manage file, object, and block storage services, including user access controls and protocol gateways (FTP, NFS, WebDAV, SMB, S3, iSCSI).
Performance Monitoring
Real-Time Dashboards: Visualize I/O performance (IOPS, throughput, latency) and storage utilization through dynamic charts and numerical displays.
Historical Data Retention: Access up to 1 year of performance metrics (IOPS, throughput, physical space usage, etc.) with trend analysis via interactive line graphs.
Granular Insights: Monitor global cluster performance or drill down into specific objects (storage pools, nodes, disks, volumes) and protocols (FTP/NFS/S3).
Data Protection
WORM & Recycle Bin: Prevent data tampering or accidental deletion for file and object storage.
Block Storage Snapshots: Enable rapid data recovery for block-level storage.
Async Replication: Support cross-cluster disaster recovery and data replication across geographically distributed sites.
Proactive Alerting
Event Tracking: Receive real-time notifications for node availability, disk hot-swaps, and I/O errors, with escalation workflows for unresolved alerts.
